Bipasha Basu was thrilled to bits when she learned that she has been named as one of the hosts of the "New 7 Wonders of the world" event held at Lisbon, Portugal, on July 7.
But what worried her was her sight problem, nearsightedness that is. The thought of having to read from a teleprompter at such a globally telecasted event forced her to take some steps to correct her vision. She got contact lenses so she could read her lines.
"This is the first time that the seven wonders are being reconsidered. To be part of this is to be part of history, and I wouldn't have missed it for anything in the world, certainly not for being shortsighted," says Basu. "All these years I stubbornly resisted them," she added
